Scaling Evidence-Based Products and Programs Within Districts: May 28, 2024

On May 28 from 3-4:30pm ET, the LEARN Network joined the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and a panel of researchers and practitioners for a discussion of the process of adopting, adapting, and scaling evidence-based products or programs within a district to best serve students and teachers. Panelists from SRI Education, the AIM Institute for Learning and Research, Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) and the Dinuba Unified School District answered questions and shared insights and resources from their work with and within districts.

Designing and Scaling for Educational Impact in Rural Communities: April 8, 2024

On April 8, from 2 – 3:30 p.m. ET, The LEARN Network hosted a conversation with scholars and practitioners who understand the unique considerations required when scaling evidence-based products in and across rural communities. Panelists discussed the considerations rural educators make when selecting educational products, the unique challenges rural schools face in accessing evidence-based products, how product developers can design for rural contexts, success stories, and more!

Getting All Students Up to Speed Using Evidence-Based Supplemental Reading Programs: February 6, 2024

On February 6, from 3-4:30 p.m. ET, The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and the LEARN Network hosted a conversation with leaders from the three literacy-focused LEARN Network product teams and practitioners who are using these supplemental reading programs. Panelists discussed how these programs support both decoding and comprehension skills, peer interactions, and best practices for selecting and implementing supplemental reading programs.

ED Games Expo: September 21, 2023

The Institute of Education Sciences’ ED Games Expo returned to the REACH at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, on September 20 and 21 with a new series of IES-funded educational innovations. The event consisted of demos of exciting new EdTech games and programs, sessions to learn more about the latest in the evolving field of EdTech, and building connections with developers and collaborators. The Expo had something for a broad audience including students, parents, researchers, and educators.

The LEARN Network hosted a panel on scaling educational products during the IES Innovation Day. This panel featured speakers who have successfully scaled educational innovations and who bring different perspectives about transitioning products to the market.
