LEARN Network Data Dashboard
The LEARN Network Data Dashboard offers a window into the decision-making process behind the adoption of educational products. Built using nationally representative survey data from K–12 school leaders, the dashboard helps educational product developers, researchers, and other community members understand when, why, and how school leaders use research and evidence in procurement.
Why it matters
Despite the promise of evidence-based products, many struggle to scale in educational settings. Our research shows that school leaders value research and peer recommendations but often face barriers like limited time, lack of relevant research, and unclear procurement processes.

The dashboard presents findings from RAND’s 2023 American Educator Panels survey on the procurement of core, supplemental, and professional development products. It highlights:

- Who is involved in each step of procurement
- Where school leaders turn for information and evidence on products
- Barriers to using research in procurement
- Tools and supports school leaders find most helpful in procurement
